Its been a while since I posted. Half of that is because I was away on a wonderful holiday for the bf's sister's wedding in Cuba, half of it because I have been swarmed at work, half of it is because i was lazy, half is because i didnt know if i wanted to continue blogging and the last half is because my blog was down. Everytime i tried to sign in it said that the blog was 'under construction'. I dont know what happened, but i think its ok now! Hopefully!
There is a lot to catch up on. I will do a post on Cuba. I will do a post on my New Years resolutions and goals. And I will do a post on 2011. All in due time, my friends!
Today I want to talk about FIRST.
you know...the usual, you first kiss, your first date......just kidding, just kidding.
i want to tell you about my first 2 runs of 2012.

(old picture from my first Trail race)
My first run of 2012 was on January 3, 2012 at around 6 pm. at my condo gym on the treadmill. It was the day after we got back from Cuba. At this point, i have not ran in like 4 weeks and have not workouted out in over a week. It was tough. it was sweaty. There was a lot of huffin and puffin. I ran 2 miles in 24 minutes and just wanted the run to be over with.

My first outdoor run was on Friday, January 6, 2012 at about 6 pm with the bf. We both had vacation blues, we both had a shitty day at work, we both had a headache. I wanted nothing but to crawl into bed and sleep for 14 hours straight. But instead, we decided to get fresh air and go for a run.
We ran a total of 2 miles in around 22 minutes and were both smiling at the end. It was beautiful!
This was one of my fave runs ever!
The whole time i was enjoying myself. The whole time I was smiling.
We both loved it. Our headaches were gone and our spirits were lifted.
Thank you running gods for making this run wonderful and reminding me why I love running.
Im back to LOVING RUNNING!!!!!
And ps. i love the winter running. i cannot wait to get out there again. Maybe tonite??? YAY

Last but not least.....
I signed up for 2 races!

ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're back!! I did not register but I am thinking of doing Harry Rosen again as its a great cause close to my heart. I have had no desire to run except for some quick ones with my dog so we'll see if I can get out of this funk!
